Chocolate Banana Cup and Shield 14th Sept 2008

The excellent Castle 80 open was chosen to host the 2nd running of the Chocolate Banana Cup and Shield. The CB Cup is awarded to the Banana who achieves the top score on the day and the Shield to the Banana who exceeds their expected score by most targets. Here we are before battle commenced; the Chairman, 2007 winner, is holding the Cup with three hungry shooters wanting possession. The expected scores are calculated using the latest BFTA grading percentages.

Eddie = 60% 0f 80 = 48
Greg = 45% 0f 80 = 36
Paul = 45% of 80 = 36
Shaun = 70% of 80 = 56

Journey time to Castle is just over an hour and the weather as we headed north looked perfect for shooting. The Castle 80 consists of two courses of 40 targets; one course is shot in the morning then after lunch the other. As suggested by its ability to hold two courses Castle is an extensive ground, most of the targets today were in woodland with a few sited in the field adjacent to the wood.

After a short briefing we went to our lanes and a hooter indicated it was time to start. Eddie, Paul and Shaun were shooting together. Greg paired up with, 3rd place in the World, Andy Gillott. Conditions were perfect; there was no wind and the temperature was pleasant. The only factor likely to add to the difficulty of long ranges and mini kills was the darkness of the wood; it caught the camera out too!

Despite the benign environment the Bananas found the going tough. Eddie was suffering at long range; he found it necessary to shoot below the kill to gain success. Paul also had to shoot low in the kill to knock them over. Shaun was having trigger trouble and all of us were struggling with mini kills. This is certainly an area we all must practise before next year's 80. With Greg shooting with Andy we had no knowledge of how he was doing but when our paths crossed he revealed his score of 21 ex 26 which put him well in front. However, this seemed to steel Shaun and he set off on a good run to post a first round score of 31.

Round 1
Shaun = 31 (+3)
Greg = 28 (+10)
Paul = 23(+5)
Eddie = 23(-1)

Top score from the morning round was 38 shared by Andy Gillott and Andy Calpin. Our group of three had shot on the next lane to Mr Calpin who took many of the targets kneeling! We did gain great pleasure when our trio was all successful in knocking over one that he had missed; if we can hit one we can hit them all!

After essential nutrition, bacon and egg baps, we set off for the pm shoot determined to improve upon our morning scores. For the gang of three it was a disappointing start, after six shots 2, 2 and 4 were all we had. Maybe Greg was doing better? As we moved to the far end of the course a little wind paid a visit and for a few lanes windage adjustment was needed. Shaun was again enjoying a good run, Eddie seemed to have mastered where to shoot but Paul was having a mare. Then the shooting gods decided to smile on Paul as he began a run of eight straight, it seems the gods can only look out for one Banana because Paul's success coincided with Shaun slipping off the rails. However, he did recover and all three shooters enjoyed a good finish to round 2.

Final Scores
Shaun = 31 + 30 = 61(+5)
Greg = 28 + 26 = 54(+18)
Eddie 23 + 25 = 48(-)
Paul = 23 + 20 = 43(+7)

So Shaun retained the CB Cup and Greg overwhelmingly held on to the CB Shield. Andy Gillott was top dog he added a clearance to his morning score to win on 78.

Our thoughts turned to the pub but more drama was to follow. Greg had tied for first place in C grade and a shoot-off ensued. Greg was at best pensive moving towards petrified! Unfortunately he came second; maybe beta blockers next time Greg! So Greg was second in C grade and Shaun likewise in B, both received cheques for £20
Millride was well represented. Here are a few of the guys in varying states of happiness; go on Ian smile. One Millrider not shown who deserves congratulations is Roy Boliver who placed third in C grade. Well done Roy!!
It had been an excellent day's shooting, many thanks to the Castle crew, but now our thoughts were of Weatheroak ale and Asian cuisine. Upon arrival at the Coach and Horses we were met with some devastating news; no Weatheroak ale now or in the future. We consoled ourselves with four different pints but none had the majesty of our favourite. Next destination was the Dilshad where we enjoyed a hearty meal and no doubt frightened the staff and their cliental

Another summer season is over and the Winter League beckons. First round is at Far Coley on the 28th September; please no wind!! So it's goodbye from Bananablog let's hope the Bananas are back on tour next year!

Just noticed that there's a 50 shot open at Weston in the Woods (GP6) on Sunday 5th October.

Any takers?

C'mon then Greg, spill the beans.
What advice did Andy impart?

Baltipal said...

Can't tell ye, 'tis a secret, it is. Ahh!!!!

I see there was another clearance at Millride on Saturday!

Phil_G said...

Was it something to do with Pirates then?

Baltipal said...

.......Possibly!......

Who cleared at Millride?

Arby said...

Great report again Shaun. Was absolutely staggered to learn about 3rd place - even more incredible when there were at least 4 C graders in the comp.

Have at last got a new phone so only picked up your message tonight Greg. Being as you texted me, does that mean you have my number on your phone or do you want me to text you with it?

Phil, I lost all my contact numbers in the waterlogged old phone, could you possibly text me with your number please? Perhaps I can exchange numbers with the remaining bloggers when I see you.

Baltipal said...

Hi Roy,
Yes mate I have your number amongst my extensive files, you've managed to keep it then?

Who amongst the Millriders is;

1/ Attending the Euro's?
2/ Camping?

Will there be anyone to have a beer with?

I'm orf to watch the footie, back presently.

Shaun/Roy, are either of you attending Millride on Saturday?
It looks like we may be a bit light of bodies to put the course out, so any help would be appreciated.

Baltipal said...

Right, my mate Dan Dan the Computer has arrived so I'll either be back in a while or when I've bought another PC!
Bye Bye.

Arby said...

Sorry to say I won't be at M/r on Sat - have got tickets for Game Fair. I do know that Phil J is aware of reduced numbers at M/r and is intending to be there.

JONTA said...

Phil can you let Dave know that I can get brush cutter for the a weekend at the price of £25, should be £36+ vat... The cheapest one at screwfix with a strong blade rather than the ones with nylon feed is around £170.
As that guy sent you any messages about the guide column m8

Phil_G said...

I PM'd you on the BBS, no news yet.
I've e-mailed him. Will let you know whne he replies.
I'll tell Dave.

CB Chairman said...

Evening bloggers!

I'll not be at Millride this Saturday Phil, sorry!

Any one for the 50 at Weston?

Phil_G said...

Hi Lee,
I'm sure you'll beat him.
He's on the way down, you're on the way up!
Good news about Swifty.

Phil_G said...

Hi Mr C.
Not for me until outgoings stabilise.
Wife's car got MOT tomorrow, I feel another car related expense coming on.

CB Chairman said...

Good news about Swifty! Just to add further pressure Terry is the reigning veteran world champ.

Phil_G said...

Is it me, or does the draw for the Euros look decidely not random?

JONTA said...

Where is this Weston venue Mr C, have you shot there.
Phil lane set up doe`s not look evenly spread at all. Looks like there is eight places available...
go on Phil go for it..

Phil_G said...

I think Weston is where GP6 was held, down by Silverstone.

JONTA said...

Lets hope Swifty will be there...

Roy, I'd be happy with 2nd after 46 games.

CB Chairman said...

I don't think the Euro draw is random. I think they put the top shooters in the am Saturday and pm on the Sunday.

CB Chairman said...

that's why Jonta's shooting in the am on Saturday!!

Phil_G said...

And Greg?

CB Chairman said...

Marshalling!

Baltipal said...

I'm back, though I bet you've all gone to bed now!
I read the camomile tea thing in today's Daily Mail so tried a cup after my dinner, it was disgusting! So it has to be good for you doesn't it? None the less I'll give it a go.

Right, my E-mail is up & running again so those of you that care to can PM me their addresses so I can pester you for money without using the forums!

CB Chairman said...

Hello Greg, I think the Camomile Lawn was better than the tea.

Baltipal said...

The Camomile Lawn, phwoar! That blond wench was..........PHWOAR!

I've been contacted by Jésus again, he was most impressed by our escapades at Castle. He looks like he is going to de-tune his 100 to sub 12fpe rather than buy a dedicated piece but he's still up for a S&B!

BTW, Dan has told me how to get the accents over the letters. Press the ALT Gr button & the required letter. A € can be achieved with the ALT Gr & the 4 key as well.

Baltipal said...

Evening Bloggers.
Who is out there tonight?

Baltipal said...

I think this is Andy Gillott's rifle;

http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310050

JONTA said...

Evening all. Yes Greg that is Andy`s gun. Did he say why he was selling it sunday, which one did he use...... Perhaps he may have a sponsored gun in the pipe line.

Baltipal said...

Well, if he did have a sponcer in the wings he kept that close to his chest.
He was using his 100/fixed X45 option. I asked him why he chose this over his 110 & he said he thought it superior.

I'm a little concerned about the weekend at Weston. I'm planning on getting there around 7 O'clock to get the tent up. Do you know where the camping is to be found. It seems to be some distence from the shoot but is it an exceptable distence to carry kit or should I drive? I'm only asking as there appears to be somekind of restriction when moving cars around!

CB Chairman said...

Evening bloggers!

I am at school at Open Evening, where's the governor?

Blog you tomorrow.

JONTA said...

Not sure about the camping but I was under the impression that you need to drive to the shoot as it appears to be a bit far to lug your gear about..
The gun he shot then would it be black action in a black stock or in a dark Ginb jobby

Baltipal said...

I had to think then.....then I realised I had a piccie!

Roy,

I may not be at WL1 at Far Coley.
My mate's funeral is next Friday and a couple of friends are travelling up from Devon and down from Scotland, and it looks like a few of us are going to have a bit of a send off for him on the Saturday night.
So, I might not be in any fit state to shoot on the Sunday.
I do hope to make it, but I thought I'd better let you know now incase you want to make alternative arrangements.

Baltipal said...

Mr Chairman, what's the compliment for WL1, just thee & me is it?

CB Chairman said...

Are we a pair?

Arby said...

Phil, No problem. Would be nice to see you there but whatever you decide to do is ok by me. Thanks anyway for the alert.

Baltipal said...

Hiya Roy, fancy coming with me & the Chairman if Phil can't make it?

CB Chairman said...

Just finished Ed's HW100 what a gun!

swiftyx2 said...

Hi Folks,

I am back!!!!!,
Right then what have I missed then?, Greg do not think I could cope with the camping at min (gutted)see you there, Looking at the time table, they have left the best till last for the public to "hold breath and gasp at the skill from the top seeds", looks like will have to shoot coarse standing but how good will that read " Swifty wins Euros standing" and only drops 3 shots! them tablets are good!. Atb Steve.

JONTA said...

Hi Swifty glad you feeling better mate... If you drop 3 then you will not win... weather looks promising though

JONTA said...

What do you mean Mr C TBE hw 100 what a gun...

Greg, Thanks for the kind offer but I think Phil J intends to come as well. If he does, we'll probably travel in together because we live relatively close to each other. We'll talk again next week if that's ok

Me and the runt of my litter have tickets for Game Fair on Sat so we'll probably look you and the other Millriders up. If I don't speak or see you before, best of luck for the w/e

Now on the Newky browns

CB Chairman said...

If I was on the NB's I'd have to wear a tampon tomorrow. Good luck!

Phil_G said...

Well done to all.
Why 49, did you forget one?

Phil_G said...

You still holding on to the shot too long Jonta?

Arby said...

All the best for tomorrow Jonta and pass on my best wishes to the rest of the Millriders.

Had a great day with my son at the Game Fair. Tried the clay pigeon shooting but the best of all was shooting flintlock rifles dating back to the 1800's. The "boom" of some of them was amazing and could be heard all over the site. Jonta, if you get the chance you must have a go at that tomorrow. If you go to where you can try the CP shooting and then carry on a bit further down the road you can't miss it.

CB Chairman said...

Just read an interesting article in AGW, at last, by Tim Finley. He states that adjustment of the butt hook is allowed in FT and he should know. So no longer will I have to take my kneelers with my hook sticking into my shoulder!

CB Chairman said...

Early news from the morning at the Euros

Daz = 41
Ian = 43
Surely he is smiling now

Phil_G said...

Hi everyone, I'm back!
Weary but happy! You lads that didn't go have got to do it next year!

Phil_G said...

Whats the story then Greg?
Ozzy again, Lee joint 3rd

Baltipal said...

Hiya Phil,
The first day saw a lot of very close scores amongst the elite. Today, rather like the Worlds! The field was divided up by score, the FT Hi-achievers shooting the P.M. session. There were a few Shoot-Offs to sort everything out & the results you can see.
Cash prizes were generous, I believe Ozzie pocketed £600 plus his Cup! There a number of other envelopes handed out as well!
Even Swifty got a Cup, though he didn't hang around to collect.
His name was drawn to be part of a Euro team which ended up placing!

LeeEv2 said...

Hi all, well im back and Fookin knackered! lol i shot shit Saturday with a 41! was only 2 down with 12 to go and then i hit 'THE FIELD' missed another 7 of the 12 'PLONKER'. All started by tryin to shoot a target with NO pellet in!!! lost my head and concentration and the wheels fell off! still 41 not too bad! Then today after no sleep with Gregs snoring all night shot better and did a 45! so 86x100 finished 22nd! Greg shot well! well done pal!
Had a great chat with swifty n greg in the pub over a good mixed grill! This is where Greg was in a league of his own! not only eatin me n swifty under the table but some how got extra chicken thown in also! but swifty saw red n demanded we had it too with free chips!lol (That Greg ate lol)
Next year will put 2 good scores in not just the 1!
Speak soon fellas Lee

JONTA said...

Evening fella`s.. cannot wait till sunday. Hope F C is as good to me as it was the last time.
Ps Mr C that big blue bottle you hit was not a challenge at 15 yards...... anyone should be able to hit a WKD at that distance..

Baltipal said...

Yes mate, sounds good.
I've just had a frustrating time.
I wrote out a long, detailed report of the weekends events only to have my E-mail dive & dump everything!!!!
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate computers?
I uploading to Photobucket as I think it's more reliable so yopu will soon be able to share in my adventures. Technology allowing that is!

Baltipal said...

....Or perhaps hitting a Bluebottle after a couple of WKD's!

CB Chairman said...

Never tried um, but willing.

I've been out to look for his head to mount but no luck!

CB Chairman said...

right I'm for bed!

JONTA said...

What time did you leave sunday Greg and how long did it take you to get back.... Have seen details comment to your post.. Took us half hour to get out, then traffic down the A5 to Gaily. I took a detour round the country lanes and had a clear run back..

Baltipal said...

Getting out was a Comedy of Errors Jonta. About 6'ish I headed for the car but when I tried to get out the same way I'd come in they had pulled a fence across the way & we all had to head back through the Park. When we got level with where the BFTA tent was a spotty faced youth in a Hi-vis stopped us all & said that way was closed & we'd have to go back, meanwhile our little convoy was growing rapidly, just then a small fleet of vans came towards us from the other way! Young Spot couldn't seem to raise anyone on his walkie-talkie so when the vans turned around to head back we all followed them. All this had taken about 15mins or so & we had heard rumours that Neil Daniels had had a quiet word with the Security bloke behind us as well!
The funny thing is when we drove down & around there wasn't much of anything at all! But it did mean I was now on a unfamilar side of the Park so the inevitable happened & I took the wrong way, it slowly struck me that if I was heading towards Brum I shouldn't have the setting sun in front of me so I pulled into a Pub carpark & asked a bloke for directions to the Motorway, however as I was halfway to Telford now the fella must of thought I meant the M54 so he told me to carry on down the road!
Anyway, it was a lucky mistake 'cause when I made it to the M6 it was chocker, so I came off at Walsall & came home via the A34!
Got home about 8.15.

JONTA said...

Cannot wait for sunday have sized and weighed a tin of pellets in preparation..
Weather forecast is looking promising even if it is a little early.

JONTA said...

Need to catch up on some sleep. Up every morning at five, then the same over the weekend... So later

Baltipal said...

I score poorly at Far Coley, a regular 14 or 15 on a Sunday, might not be a great start for me!

Jonta,

PM on the BBS re the guide column.
You now have a choice to make.
You can phone a friend if would like.

Phil_G said...

I have warned my mates not to get me drunk Saturday night, so that I can make Sunday morning.

Hi Mr C, looking back at my score cards from the weekend I notice I scored 17 in the first 30 & 21 the next day in the first 30.
Watch me now score 13 on Sunday!!!!!!!

Phil_G said...

That's what I'm hoping ;)
The mate whos gone to live in Scotland always has £10 on the 5 midland teams to win.

Hi Folks,

How you all keeping well I hope?, Greg the way your are shooting you will put in a good score Sunday, your scores at the Euros beat some top shots so think positive I think you will put in a 20+. Bandit nice photo of the young one on the forum ( dont forget if you can e-mail the pictures you took).
Jonta sorted pellets that,s keen mate I am still trying to recover from weekend.

Lee,s wife has phoned me " yes he is still talking in his sleep!"

See you all Sunday.

Baltipal said...

Our we out for a beer Saturday night then Mr.Chairman?

Phil_G said...

You never know Phil a skin full might be the magic ingredient that you're looking for!

bandit said...

Steve,

I will bring you & Lee a disk each with the pictures on mate, there's too many to email.

Baltipal said...

I enjoyed those you posted up mate, I've nicked a couple for my Folder.

I'm involved with a Thread on the AGF concerning the validity of a Europeon Championship with few Europeons in it! Some Dutch bloke is saying some confrontational things.
Lads, do we see Dutch over here at all for any shoots? I can't remember any in the time I've been around.

bandit said...

Greg,

I've got quite a few more if you want some mate. If so let me know and I'll whack em onto a disk for you.

Baltipal said...

Yes Bandit, the more the merrier!
How much for the Polo Shirts BTW?

JONTA said...

Evening all, fecking tinternet is p.....g me off, also laptop may end up in little bits before the night is out. Have been on a hour have only been able to get on this site and do one post on the forum..
Phil have tried to retrieve the pm on the bbs you have left me, cannot get on due to some data base error.

Baltipal said...

No, not your laptops fault mate. The BBS is down again.

CB Chairman said...

Greg I think that he's got a point. What is European about the Euros? We know from the World's that although it was a great shoot there were only 13 countries represented and 48% of them came from England. I think that the non-English proportion at the Euros was even lower.

Phil_G said...

OK.
In summary, apparently Anschutz have sent more than just the guide column.
In Donalds words:

We now have the Anschutz guide column that you ordered from us recently in
stock, and an invoice is attached (for £10). If you could arrange to settle that, we
will get the item despatched as soon as possible after we have received the
payment.
They've actually sent me the unit with the bolts etc to attach it, which has
changed the price - if I pass it on at cost it comes through at £21.60. Let
me know if you would prefer just the column, or the combined set.

So, if you tell me if you just want the column or the whole lot, it's either £10 or £21.60. He hasn't mentioned postage, and it's not detailed on the invoice, I'll talk to him about that tomorrow when I know what you want me to do.

(Sorry to Mr C for hijacking your blog)

Phil_G said...

But is it our problem if they don't come?
Its inescapable that the vast majority of FT'ers are from the UK.
If its called the UK championship, than do we ban europeans from entering?
I'm sure there are events all over Europe called the European championship of something or other where 99% of the participants are from the host country.

Baltipal said...

I think he's got a point if other European Countries are being excluded in some way, but if they do have access to Air rifles & can compete in FT but choose not to attend the European Championships then all we can ask is, why?
I've visited the DFTA site & allowing for language difficulties there appears to be no mention in any threads of a Euro's going on, the Worlds were discussed.
It was coincidental that I asked this very question the weekend & now my interest is piqued!

JONTA said...

Not quite sure what he is saying Phil. Doe`s he mean with back plate, if so I do not require it. Would be good if he had pics so I could say for sure. The column is all I need, this fixes to back plate, then hook mechanism slides up/down once side pin is slackened off..
Greg its my laptop as well as it as fell out with the anti virus...

Baltipal said...

Get AVG. Dan Dan the Computer man downloaded it on to my heap of.....I mean my PC & all has been well since.
Fingers Crossed!

CB Chairman said...

For me it is whether you want the Euros to represent European competition or want another name for a big FT shoot. If there are events in Europe that claim to be championships with no representation then, inline with that guy's view, their status is questionable. Whilst the majority of FT shooters may be UK based the sport will develop Europe-wide if UK shooters trip abroad. But why would they?
At the World's I left with the view that the SA team were not happy at coming second. I'm sure competing against the top UK shooters taught them a lot and they will have to raise their game . Sport evolution!

I used to have AVG on my desktop, but when we went to broadband through bt we had norton as part of the package. AVG was great no trouble at all with it so may remove norton then put AVG back on if I continue to have trouble with it mate

Baltipal said...

I got that vibe from the SA team too!

The way I see it, A European Comp has been organised & the member national bodies informed. Therefore either the Countries in question couldn't raise any interest or/and there wasn't enough resource to draw from.

Phil_G said...

So do you want me to tell him you just want the column?
I'm happy with that if thats all you want.

JONTA said...

Have had a look at this debate on the forum. His is point about lack of representation of other european countries or just the simple fact that the results do not show the country of origin next to the shooters name.
I was led to believe that it is a open, and open to everyone. Is`nt this the case of those of who turned up ie Russia, portugal etc. How else would they have been able to enter

JONTA said...

If he is sure what the column is mate that would be great. The worst case cenario i would take the lot as long it contained the right part especially as it is only £21. Speak to you tomorrow night guy`s if I have shot the laptop to bits...

Baltipal said...

What I'm trying to get to the bottom of is, the fact that there are no Dutch or Belgian FT'ers at the recent International events(The DFTA seems to represent the Belgians too) is that down to lack of resource, i.e. not many shooters to draw from or lack of interest rather like when the Worlds was held in the States last year & most shooters stayed away due to the disadvantage of shooting host nations rules!

Phil_G said...

When did Russia become part of Europe?

Baltipal said...

Don't you start! I Russia couldn't compete Galina couldn't of come!

CB Chairman said...

Now that's an interesting question. If the Atlantic defines the west of Europe and the Ural mountains the east then a large part of Russia is in Europe.

Arby said...

Euro's - Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick but I haven't read the original forum discussion.
I understand the point about it being open to everyone and it is the choice of the individual, from any country, whether or not to come. However, the fact that the competition is held at the same location every year cannot be other than discriminatory. Whichever country hosts the competition will inevitably provide the majority of shooter due to constraints of time, funding, ease of travel etc. Unfortunately, Shropshire is as bad as it can get for many European shooters and therefor reduces their numbers. I suspect that the Midland G F needs the Euro's as much as the Euro's need the profile of the MGF in terms of exposure and sponsorship deals etc.
To be at its most meaningful I contend that the venue should take place at a different European venue at an appropriate interval, i.e. every 1, 2, 3 or 4 years.

Baltipal said...

Hi Arby, good call on the Black Powder stand mate! Cheers for that.

I think the Comp was heavily sponsored, could that be managed in other Countries? I agree in princible that it should move around but I don't think the infrastructure is there yet.

Arby said...

Hi Greg, I agree that the sponsorship is an overriding factor and I did mention that in my original post. However, to be considered a truly European event the venue has to be flexible. I know that under the present set up the MGF is an ideal opportunity for the shooters, sponsors, and trade to be in the same place at the same time but are there no similar events in Europe. Would holding the comp in mainland Europe not raise the profile of the sport, and the standard of competition? And, wouldn't it be good for the British suppliers to raise their profile in Europe?

CB Chairman said...

I'm with Arby.

Arby said...

Sorry to labour the point but I'm on a roll now.
It was obvious to me on Saturday that all the competitors were having a ball and i thought that perhaps one year, if not next, I would enter myself and share the fun. However, if by a massive stretch of the imagination I won the event (don't worry I'm only being hypothetical), I would feel a bit sheepish about using the title European Champion unless I had competed against and beaten the best that Europe had to offer. Similarly, even at C grade should I at my level of skill even get a smell of competing for a European title. Pedantic maybe, but would it make a difference if the comp was called the European Open, rather than the European Championship.

I think I'll leave it there because I don't want to labour the point any more than is necessary.

Arby said...

Sorry, in my last post I should have said British Open and not European Open.

Had to dash off - water coming through ceiling - Wife standing on a chair holding up a bucket. Hopefully sorted now but cosmetic work needed tomorrow. Nothing like a relaxing night in is there?

Baltipal said...

Phil_G said...

Just bought a sizer off Neil Thorneycroft. He's packed up shooting & sold the Zenith to Barry McDonald.
I knew he was cutting back to persue other interests, like golf, but pack up? That's a bit rash, don't you think?
Mates funeral tomorrow, not looking forward to that.
But shooting on Saturday, a couple of pints Sat night, and roll on the Winter League Sunday morning.
Memento mori
Véale todo el sábado mis amigos

Baltipal said...

I know Phil, I found out at the Euro's, right at the end. He was passing his Leup to that young fella, Alan's son I think.
I can't believe he sold the Zenith!!!

OK Chaps,
You all must be tucked up in bed so I'll catch you tomorrow.

Phil_G said...

I don't see any updates to the BFTA grades???

Phil_G said...

Thread on the AGF saying gradings updated.
New spreadsheet does 20 results but BFTA site only does 10 columns.
As I didn't start till round 6(?) guess the later results arn't shown.
My grading is the same as the original one, no change at all.

CB Chairman said...

Evening guys please paste this into your browser.

Lee, the story of the Winter League will unfirl on the new, 'Tales Of Winter' Blog to be found at;

http://talesofwinter.blogspot.com/

But it won't appear until Shaun gets back from Bowling with his lads.

Arby said...

It's now 4.15 and no report from Shaun. We were going to give him until 3.30 so I think we've been perfectly reasonable.I think we should instigate the coup and depose Shaun as Chairman. As it was YOUR idea SWIFTY & LEEV2 I think I'll leave the rest to you - me not being a trouble maker and all that.

Baltipal said...

I'll say only this Roy, you thrashed me today!
What you'll do when you get your Daystate GP/S&B combi I just don't know!!!!!!!!

Arby said...

Thanks Greg; I'll enjoy the day but from time to time I'm sure we all have an over-achieving day to compensate for all the others. Will probably be "situation normal" next time. Nevertheless I'll enjoy a bottle of rose tonight.
